To prepare for the 10th National Science & Engineering Fair, STEM Synergy sponsored the AASTU STEM Center, the KUE STEM Center, and the KUE Science Shared Campus. The support included mentorship, technical guidance, and all the project materials students needed. This help allowed the centers to guide students in building strong project prototypes, which later won several awards at the national fair.
The Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) STEM Center entered with four projects. One of them, an Automated Clinic Bed, won 3rd Place in the Manufacturing and Industrial Solutions (MInS) category.
The Kotebe University of Education (KUE) STEM Center and the KUE Science Shared Campus entered with six projects and performed exceptionally well. They won 1st Place in the Robotics and Emerging Technologies (RbET) category with an AI-Driven Robot. They also won 1st Place in the Health, Agriculture & Environmental Solutions (HAES) category with a Locust Control Vacuum.
A student from the KUE robotics team received a full four-year university scholarship for their excellent work sponsored by GE Aerospace volunteers. In addition, the KUE STEM Center was named the Best STEM Center of 2025.
These achievements show the importance of strong mentorship and material support. It is also playing a key role in developing Ethiopia’s future scientists and engineers.
