STEM Synergy at the 4th CSOs Week.

In December 2024, STEM Synergy proudly participated in the 4th Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Week, held at the Ghion Hotel in Addis Ababa. The event, organized by the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council (ECSOC) and the Authority for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO), brought together a wide array of development actors to showcase their impact and forge stronger partnerships.

At our exhibition booth, STEM Synergy highlighted key programs aimed at expanding access to STEM education and promoting renewable energy solutions. These included:

  • STEM outreach programs, teacher capacity-building workshops, girls’ STEM camps, STEM for Kids, and activities designed to promote a stronger science culture.
  • Coding and robotics training designed to equip young learners with essential 21st-century skills.
  • Our solar-powered bakery project, which supports youth and women through economic empowerment and clean energy innovation.

These initiatives reflect our mission to foster innovation, tackle youth unemployment, bridge gender gaps in STEM, and contribute to sustainable development through practical, community-focused solutions.

Highlights of Our Participation:

  • Panel Discussions & Networking: We took part in thought-provoking discussions on how STEM education can drive long-term development and help close the nation’s skill gap.
  • Partnership Building: Engaging with more than 85 NGOs and government representatives, we explored opportunities for collaboration and scaling impact.
  • Visibility & Advocacy: With eye-catching displays and direct outreach, we boosted awareness of our work and sparked interest from potential partners and supporters.

STEM Synergy’s presence at CSOs Week reaffirmed our commitment to creating inclusive opportunities through science, technology, and innovation.
