
Selam Alemu serves as a Board Member on STEM Synergy’s Board of Directors, bringing extensive experience in science policy, technology management, and women’s empowerment.
She currently works as a Senior Expert for Science Culture Enhancement at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MoSHE) in Ethiopia. Prior to this role, she led the Research and Technology Transfer team at the Ministry of Science and Technology and served as a Coordinator for HIV Prevention and Control in South Wollo.
With 12 years of experience, Selam has actively contributed to the advancement of technology and innovation policies. She holds an MA in Sociology from Indira Gandhi National Open University (India) and a BA in Business Management from Adama University (Ethiopia).
Her commitment to innovation and capacity building is reflected in her participation in international training programs. She has earned certifications in Innovation Management (Israel-UNDP), Clean Technologies and Environmental Innovation (MASHAV, Israel), and Women Entrepreneurship and Startups (ITEC, India).
Selam’s expertise in science and technology policy, along with her dedication to gender empowerment, makes her an invaluable asset to STEM Synergy’s mission.
