Rafael Osterloh brings over a decade of international experience in migration policy, youth employment, and development cooperation to the Board of Directors of STEM Synergy International. He previously served as an Advisor with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), supporting the African Union Commission on labor migration and free movement, advancing TVET initiatives in Nigeria, and coordinating reintegration programs for returnees and refugee communities across Europe and Africa.

Rafael holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Development from the University of Vienna, with a focus on micro- and macroeconomics and global commodity chains. Fluent in German, Spanish, English, and French, he excels at fostering cross-cultural collaboration and building partnerships with governments, international organizations, and the private sector. His experience in aligning education and skills development with labor market opportunities makes him a valuable asset in advancing STEM Synergy’s mission to empower Ethiopia’s youth through STEM education and entrepreneurship.
