
Bereket Asmamaw has been a Technology Expert and Program Coordinator at STEM Synergy since 2021, specializing in product design, prototype manufacturing, and product development. She plays a key role in the development and deployment of solar bakeries, empowering youth and women through hands-on technical training programs. These initiatives equip participants with the skills to operate and maintain environmentally friendly technologies, fostering job creation and sustainable livelihoods. In addition, she serves as a trainer for short-term STEM programs, reaching primary and secondary students across STEM Centers nationwide.
Bereket holds a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Technology from MfM-ATTC (2018) and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Admas University (2024). Before joining STEM Synergy, she worked as a Senior Technical Assistant in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Haramaya University, where she contributed to innovative projects, including the design and development of pedal-operated hand washing machines and mechanical ventilators—critical solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Passionate about sustainable manufacturing and capacity building, Bereket leverages her technical expertise to solve real-world challenges through innovation. Her dedication to education and empowerment is instrumental in advancing STEM Synergy’s mission and creating a lasting societal impact.
