Alebachew Yimer serves as the Board Treasurer for STEM Synergy, bringing extensive expertise in energy optimization, supply chain management, and mathematical modeling. He currently works as a Senior Portfolio Optimization Analyst and Demand Side Management Planning Specialist at NV Energy, where he focuses on optimizing energy portfolios and implementing strategic energy efficiency initiatives.

Alebachew has published research on supply chain optimization, production scheduling, hedging, and mathematical modeling in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. His strong passion for robotics and artificial intelligence, coupled with proficiency in multiple programming languages, further enhances his technical capabilities.

Before moving to the U.S., Alebachew was a lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Addis Ababa University. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Addis Ababa University, an MIS degree from the University of Phoenix, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) in Nevada, and a member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
