STEM Synergy Inc. is a U.S.-based international NGO, also registered in Canada, dedicated to advancing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, entrepreneurship, and social enterprises in Ethiopia. Founded in August 2016 G.C. by passionate Ethiopians in the U.S. with Jewish philanthropist Mark Gelfand, STEM Synergy builds on the legacy of the Gelfand Family Charitable Trust (GFCT) in promoting STEM education and technology-driven solutions. “

2004: FIRST STEM CENTER

Since its inception, STEM Synergy has launched multiple STEM Centers across Ethiopia, providing hands-on learning opportunities for primary and secondary students. These centers aim to build creativity, technical know-how, and entrepreneurial thinking. Collaborating with schools, government entities, and NGOs, the organization empowers thousands of youth and women through education and technology.
