STEM Synergy Board Chairman Dr. Nate Woods Visits Harari STEM Center and School Feeding Program

In March, 2025, Harari Region, Ethiopia – Dr. Nate Woods, Chairman of the STEM Synergy Board, recently visited the Harari STEM Center at Aboker Secondary School, a facility established by STEM Synergy in 2019 to provide hands-on STEM education. The center equips students with critical science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills, preparing them for future careers in innovation and technology.

During his visit, Dr. Nate also toured the school feeding program at Ras Mekonnen Elementary School, where STEM Synergy has contributed a solar bakery to support the initiative. This sustainable energy solution ensures students receive fresh, locally baked bread while promoting environmental responsibility. Dr. Nates’ engagement with Harari Regional State Education Bureau officials, STEM center coordinators, teachers, and students underscores STEM Synergy’s commitment to education, renewable energy, and community development. The visit highlights the organization’s dedication to empowering youth through STEM learning and sustainable technology.
